Selichot Dinner & Program

6:30 PM - 8:30 PMAs we kick off the High Holy Days season, come to Beth Or for dinner and a panel discussion about forgiveness, repentance and grudge bearing from various professional perspectives.
Dinner at 6:30pm; Program at 7pm followed by Selichot service at 8:30pm.
Panelists include Beth Or congregants:
Jonathan Segal - Labor Attorney - Business Perspective
Tanya Vishnevsky - Psychologist - Psychological Perspective
Marc Rabinowitz - Physician - Physiological Perspective
Rabbi Marx & Rabbi Bonder - Spiritual Perspective
Program components:
- Opening remarks and introduction of panelists and professional perspective represented.
- Each panelist responds to these questions:
- (1) What are the pitfalls of failing to forgive to the body, emotional well-being, career and spiritual well-being?
- (2) What are the benefits from your area of expertise to releasing hate & moving on?
- (3) Why do you find it so hard for people to forgive & move on?
- (4) Do you ever think it's appropriate not to forgive someone?
- (5) Are there any examples of forgiveness that you have seen which inspire you?
