Whether you are a new member or have been a member for years, we are so glad to have you as part of our Beth Or family. In today’s Jewish community, the synagogue is the place to be. Our synagogue seeks to welcome all Jews, no matter what the stage of life, family circumstances, or how they came to Judaism. Whether you are looking for a place to learn, volunteer or socialize with friends, we are a congregation that will suit your needs.
There are many ways that you can quickly become an involved member of Congregation Beth Or:
- Join us for our services, programs, holiday events, lifelong learning classes, and so much more. You can find information about all of these things in the bi-monthly Beth Or Spotlight newsmagazine, weekly Chai Lights emails, and monthly events mailings. You can also click here to view the Beth Or Calendar
- Like and join our Facebook page! You must have a Facebook profile to join.
- Do you have special skills or talents that you are willing to share with us? Whether you are an expert in a specific area or are great on the computer, we are interested in hearing from you. Please let us know how you can contribute to our community and we will find a place for you. Contact Amy Abrams in the Beth Or office.
- Are you interested in volunteering but afraid that we will take up all of your time? We realize that your time is very valuable and appreciate the fact that you are considering volunteer work at Beth Or. Volunteering does not have to mean a long-term commitment and it is a wonderful way to make new friends. There are many things where you can help out on a short-term basis. If you are interested in a long-term volunteer position, these are available as well. Contact Amy Abrams in the Beth Or office to discuss the different volunteer opportunities at our synagogue.
We know that our building and community may seem large and perhaps overwhelming at first. However, by attending events, volunteering, and keeping in contact with our lay leaders and staff, it will be very easy for you to find your niche and get more involved in our community.
