Phil Nordlinger, Executive Director -- 215-646-5806 x246
Phil Nordlinger became Beth Or's Executive Director in June 2024. A long time congregant whose children were b'nai mitzvah at Beth Or, Phil is a seasoned Jewish professional with demonstrated expertise in Synagogue management, leadership and engagement along with strong business acumen and strategic planning. His past experience includes serving as Executive Director for two congregations over the past decade, and prior to that holding numerous positions from Religious School teacher and Youth Advisor to Program and Education Director. He also served as Director of the Hillel program at Temple University for several years. Common to all of these roles, Phil embraces the importance of connecting with constituents and sustaining meaningful relationships with congregants, clergy and staff.
Phil and his wife Kim live in Dresher with their blended family which includes five children at various stages of young adulthood - Jenna, Ari, Alexa, Dylan and Evan.
Jillian Peskin, Director of Member Engagement -- 215-646-5806 x234
Jillian (Glick) Peskin began her Beth Or journey in 2nd grade as a student in religious school. She spent many years immersed in the programs that Beth Or has to offer. She enjoyed building relationships all through her years here. She began officially working for our synagogue in 11th grade, as a Hebrew tutor and special needs shadow. She returned to us years later to begin working in our CECE. Jillian taught in many different classrooms for 7 years, in addition to teaching 4th grade Hebrew school, 7th grade academy and assisting our youth directors. Beth Or has certainly been a special home for her.
Jillian now serves as our Director of Member Engagement. Jillian loves helping families find a home at Beth Or and begin their Jewish journeys. She feels blessed to be a part of a community that feels like a family. She lives in Lafeyette Hill with her husband, Wes, and young children, Millie and Ryder who are both enrolled in our CECE.
Judy Trias, Director of Marketing and Communications -- 215-646-5806 x242
Judy Trias is an experienced marketer with a background in strategic marketing and communications. Prior to joining Beth Or's senior leadership team in July 2016, Judy worked as a consultant helping professionalize, customize and improve the effectiveness of her client's marketing - from brand identity, positioning and messaging to websites, printed materials and social media. She previously served as Vice President, Marketing for PREIT, a Philadelphia-based real estate development company specializing in shopping centers. In this role, she led and mentored a team of marketing professionals and an internal advertising agency.
Judy’s focus at Beth Or is on making our marketing and communications consistent and relevant to ensure you are in-the-know about what Beth Or offers in a way that is meaningful for you.
Judy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a minor in Business Administration/Marketing from the University of Delaware. She and husband, Jim, live in Montgomery Township (North Wales) and have three young-adult children Danielle, Alex and Jason.
Suzanne Diamond, Director of Accounting -- 215-646-5806 x244
Suzanne Diamond is responsible for all accounting functions for the congregation. Suzanne has been a member of Beth Or for 20+ years and has been an employee since 2006. During her tenure, she has worked in the Early Childhood Center, first as an assistant teacher and then as Assistant Director/Business Manager for the Center for 9 years. Additionally, before taking on the Director of Accounting role, Suzanne also performed the Controller duties for 3 years.
Prior to her career at Beth Or, Suzanne worked as a cost accountant for 6 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting as well as an MBA from The Pennsylvania State University. Suzanne, her husband Mitch and their three children - Kayla, Hannah and Matthew are active members of our congregation and community.
Liz Hirsh, F.T.A, Executive Director Emerita
Liz Hirsch, FTA, was the Executive Director at Congregation Beth Or in Maple Glen, PA from 1991 until her retirement in June of 2013. Prior to that, she was the Executive Director at Congregation Gates of Prayer in Metairie, Louisiana for five years. She earned an MA in counseling from St. Mary's College of California and a BS in Education from SUNY. Liz has also earned the Fellow in Temple Administration (FTA), a joint certification from NATA, the CCAR and the URJ. She is a Past President of the National Association of Temple Administrators and has held positions as Vice Chair of NATA's Certification Board, Chair of the Placement Committee and has served as Editor of the NATA Journal. In addition to her work as Executive Director, Liz has recorded interviews with survivors of the Holocaust for the Shoah Foundation. She lives in Upper Gwynedd with her husband, Bob and enjoys crossword puzzles,swimming, traveling and playing with her grandchildren.
