Aaron Nielsenshultz is a life-long educator with experience in all age ranges, from early primary through adult learning. Throughout his career, Aaron has fostered a desire to make the learning experience better and more meaningful for students, no matter the setting. His love of education and his passion for Jewish knowledge came together more than ten years ago when Aaron moved from working in higher education to working in the world of Jewish education, and he could not be happier doing what he calls the best work of his life. He is always eager to take questions and receive feedback.

Lisa Yoskowitz, Early Childhood Center Director -- 215-646-5806 x204

 Lisa Yoskowitz most recently was the Center Director for KinderCare in Bensalem, PA. Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and began her career as a 1st grade teacher.  While her children were young, Lisa worked nights and weekends in retail management, where she gained a wealth of management, business and customer service experience. She returned to her first love, Early Childhood education when she took on her role at KinderCare. Thanks to Lisa's leadership, KinderCare in Bensalem achieved a Keystone Stars 2 rating and NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) accreditation.  NAEYC is the nationally recognized gold standard for early childhood education programs.  Lisa and her family have been long-time members of Ohev Shalom where she became an Adult Bat Mitzvah, served on the Board of Trustees and is a frequent Torah reader at Shabbat and High Holy Day worship services.  Lisa's passion for early childhood education, love of Judaism, collaborative leadership style, dynamic personality and strong leadership skills will ensure that the CECE provides outstanding, high-quality Jewish education.


Sara Baum, Early Childhood Center Assistant Director -- 215-646-5806 x205

Sara Baum has been a teacher of Early Education for many years. She has been part of the Center for Early Childhood Education at Beth Or since 2015. Sara earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Hartford and began her career as a Kindergarten teacher. Sara later found her way back to Early Education and began teaching preschool in an infant classroom. Sara has since been in many different age groups and is eager to be a part of the administrative side of the center. Sara’s love for Jewish education comes from her mother who taught in a Jewish preschool for over twenty years. Judaism has always been a driving force in Sara’s life. She was active in USY and her University’s Hillel.  Throughout all of Sara’s experiences, working with other teachers and families has been a passion.  Sara, her husband Josh and their daughter Isabella feel lucky to have found a home and community here at Beth Or.


Sharon Carlin, Education Programs Admin. Coordinator -- 215-646-5806 x200

Sharon Carlin needs no introduction, particularly if you are a family with young children in our congregation. She has worked in our Early Childhood Center as the Administrative Assistant for the last 10 years. She now serves as Education Program Administrative Coordinator for both our early childhood center and religious school. Sharon’s bright personality and “just do it” mindset are invaluable in the education center’s vision of creating an organization that is seen as efficient, organized, friendly and congregant oriented. In her role, Sharon coordinates all of the administrative aspects of Beth Or’s Education Center including the Early Childhood Center and our K-12 Jewish Education programs. 


Mary Lou SiegelEducation Programs Admin. Assistant -- 215-646-5806 x201

Mary Lou Siegel and her husband Owen have been members of Beth Or since 1986. Her children Sarah, Rachel and Rebecca, were all named at Beth Or and attended religious school thru Confirmation.  Mary Lou converted to Judaism in 2011, after being married for 25 years, in order to strengthen her personal ties to Judaism and Beth Or.  She is a graduate of University of Maryland Baltimore County, and previously worked as a health services coordinor before obtaining her teaching certificate from Delaware Valley College and switching her focus to teaching middle school and freshman high school students and supporting students with IEPs. 


Beth Or is fortunate to have a wonderful group of passionate, talented, caring, and tenured teachers who are dedicated to enriching our children's Jewish education in our CECE and religious school programs.
