Congregation Support
Congregation Support
Caring Congregants sole purpose is to help members of our congregation. Members of this committee visit the ill and send R’fuah Shleama (get well) cards, make and take home cooked meals to people in temporary crisis, provide crisis management programming, reach out to our bereaved families to support them following the death of a loved one, and arrange transportation for those in need to appointments & functions. Contact Ellen Werther for information.
Support Groups are run by members of the Beth Or Mental Health Task Force (all task force members are experienced, licensed clinical professionals) and are designed to help meet the emotional needs of our diverse community. Examples of Support Groups include Bereavement, Caring for Aging Parents, Parenting Teens, etc. Each group sets its own meeting schedule with the facilitator. Contact Rabbi Marx for information about current groups, or your interest to form a new group.
