About our Guest Speaker, Ido Eini:
Ido Eini served as a platoon commander in the IDF Armored Corps. After completing officers’ training, he led his soldiers through a unique, continuous track – from basic training all the way through active combat duty.
On October 7, 2023 Eini was deployed with his unit to the Gaza border. They were among the first tank forces to push back and restore the defensive line along the border fence. After several weeks of operational activity in the Be’eri–Re’im–Kfar Aza region, they entered the city of Khan Yunis for extended combat operations deep in Gaza.
During his second round of reserve duty, on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, his brother-in-law Captain Eitan Oster was killed in combat. Since then, Eini and his wife have been leading Ruach Eitan, a non-profit they founded in his memory.
Eini is currently finishing his B.A. in Economics and Jewish Thought at Ben-Gurion University.
