Torah Study
A 3.5 Year Transformative Journey
Inspired by the acclaimed 929 Project, starting August 23, 2025, join the Beth Or clergy and fellow congregants for an exploration of each of the 929 chapters of the Tanakh - the Hebrew bible. You may join us at any time along the way!
The goal of this initiative is to bring people together across backgrounds and beliefs, fostering meaningful conversations and connections within our community while contributing to the ongoing conversation of Jewish learning by creating our own commentary and documenting our thoughts and insights in a communal way.
Here is how it works:
- Read one chapter each day, Sunday through Thursday. Click here for today's chapter.
- Fridays and Saturdays are open for reflection. We encourage you to contribute to our communal conversation:
- Sign up to join our Beth Or Torah Study blog. Help us keep the dialogue flowing by posting your thoughts on the week's readings or commenting on someone else's post.
- Post your thoughts on your personal social media, using the hashtag #cbo929 so we can establish a trend over time.
- Come to Beth Or for Torah Study on Shabbat mornings at 9:30am to discuss insights and questions that arise from the week’s readings. Torah Study is clergy led each year following Simchat Torah through June and lay led during the summer months.
