2025/5786 High Holy Days FAQs

We wish our Beth Or family a happy and healthy new year and look forward to seeing you during the High Holy Days.

The information below is organized by category to answer questions you may have. If you need additional help, please call the office during business hours, 215-646-5806 or send a note to HHD@bethor.org.

ONLINE e-TICKET REQUEST FORM: e-Tickets are required to attend services in person. All families will complete an online ticket request form for themselves and their paid guests. (One form per congregant family.)  You must be logged in to your ShulCloud account to complete the form. Be sure to use the email address associated with your account when completing the form. e-Ticket Request Deadline: September 3.

e-TICKETS: This is a multi-step process.

  • Step 1: Submit your online e-ticket request form. Once it is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of your submission. This is NOT your e-ticket.
  • Step 2: The office will process your form and verify that your account is in good standing (all prior year balances and 1/3 current year dues paid unless other arrangements have been made).
  • Step 3: Prior to Rosh Hashanah, you will receive an email embedded with the e-tickets for all of your registered family members and paid guests. Please check this email carefully to make sure each family member and their corresponding services appear. Individuals will not receive their own e-tickets - they will all be listed together in one email. If there is any issue, contact the office during business hours, 215-646-5806 or HHD@bethor.orgIf the contact email you included on your e-Ticket Request form does not receive this email one week prior to Rosh Hashanah, please contact the office no later than noon on Friday, September 19.
  • Step 4: You must present the email (either on your phone or print out to bring with you) to the greeters as you enter the synagogue.

YOUTH SERVICE/BABYSITTING: There are a few options for children from 3 months old through 4th grade:

  • All families who want their children (3 months – 4th grade) to be with them in the Gitlin Sanctuary to worship, should select either the "Early" or "Family-Only" services when completing your e-Ticket Request form. Early services are open to all ages. Late services are reserved for Adults and Children in grade 5 and up.
  • If you prefer for your children (K - 4th grade) to attend Youth Services during the Early Service, select "Youth Service" on the e-Ticket Request form. Youth Services are not offered during the "Late" service.
  • Babysitting is offered during Early Services (3 months - PreK) & Late Services (3 months - 4th grade) for those who select "Babysitting" on the e-Ticket Request Form. There is no Youth Service during the Late time slot. Children age K - 4th Grade would need to be pre-registered for Babysitting.

Please note: Space is limited for Youth Services and Babysitting, and therefore not guaranteed. If you are choosing Youth Services or Babysitting for your children, make sure this option is listed next to their name on your e-ticket email. We are sorry, but last minute requests can not be accommodated.

*Youth services are in-person only. There is no livestream option.

GUEST TICKETS: Guests are welcome to join us if they live outside of our service area. Guest tickets are available for $200/person and will be included with your family’s e-tickets. You must register and pay for your guests' tickets when you complete your e-Ticket Request form.

RECIPROCAL TICKET REQUESTS:

If your guest is a member of another synagogue, they should contact their home synagogue and ask them to send a Reciprocal Form to the Beth Or office. Please ask them to indicate which Beth Or congregant they will be joining. Once their form has been processed, their e-tickets will be included with your family's e-ticket email.

RECIPROCAL TICKETS: If you will be traveling out of the area this year and want to attend services at another synagogue, please contact the Beth Or office, 215-646-5806 or HHD@bethor.org.

PARTICIPANTS/VOLUNTEERS: There are many opportunities for those who are interested in assisting during services or helping to prepare the sanctuary in advance of the Holy Days. Please let us know your interest by completing the Volunteer Participation form. 2 options to submit:
