Introduction to Judaism | Beginning September 10, 2024
Open to all, this 18-week course, taught by Rabbi Melissa Lefkowitz, is designed for those looking to understand the basics of Judaism. This includes interfaith couples, those raising Jewish children, spiritual seekers, individuals considering conversion, and Jews who want a meaningful adult Jewish learning experience. Wherever you are on your journey with Judaism, this class is designed to be a safe and welcoming place for you to explore.
Topics include holidays, life cycle celebrations, core beliefs, prayer, the Hebrew Bible and other Jewish sacred texts, history, antisemitism and the Holocaust, Israel, the North American Jewish experience, and the diversity of the Jewish people today.
