The Hebrew month of Kislev is when Chanukah begins - the Jewish people literally spread their light to the community. During a time when so many are experiencing darkness, join us for our first Rosh Chodesh Mitzvah night. Together we will participate in a variety of activities that will add light to our local community! We encourage you to invite friends, bring your daughters and mothers and enjoy this night of giving back, together. 

Activities include: 

• Cook meals for the Ambler Community Fridge
• Write Thanksgiving cards to congregants who are struggling
• Learn about period insecurity and participate in a Mitzvah Circle drive for feminine products
• Put together care packages for families with babies/ toddlers at Family Promise
• Hear from employees at Family Promise
• A little study on the Jewish values of giving 

This event is free, but we encourage you to bring the following for donation: 

• Gift cards to grocery stores, Walmart, gas stations or Wawa to go to recipients at Family Promise
• Period products for donation to Mitzvah Circle
  • tampons, pads, menstrual cups, women's underwear
