About the Artist: Ilya Lerner was born in Moscow, Russia in 1966. He emigrated in 1989 and currently lives in Langhorne, PA. Lerner started his training in rigorous traditions of Russian School of Art and later received a Master of Fine Arts degree from The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. His award-winning artwork has been featured in many group exhibitions and solo shows, including a major retrospective at the Roberson Museum in Binghamton, NY. He was artist-in-residence at four American and European foundations and fellow at the Vermont Studio Center.  Lerner taught in several Universities and Art Schools throughout U.S. His paintings are included in major museum, public and private collections.
