We are BACK!!. We are pleased to announce that Brotherhood is hosting a Red Cross blood drive at Beth Or.  Please contact Stu Briefer with any questions or if you need help with registration.
 
The Red Cross is operating under the same COVID-19 rules as hospitals and doctors employ.
1) Red Cross will have a screener at the door.
2) Red Cross agent takes the donor's temp and asks a series of questions. If the donor passes, the donor will register and go wait in their car until called in to donate.
3) The beds are set 6 feet apart
4) The Red Cross wipes everything down that was used for that donor.
5) Red Cross is currently testing for the antibody for COVID-19. The Red Cross will be doing this through the summer for donors. Donors will be notified within 7 to 10 days if they test positive.
 
The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
